Can I get a jumbo loan for a second home or investment property?
Yes. Jumbo financing is available for second homes and investment properties, usually with a larger down payment than a primary residence.
How do I pay bi-weekly or make extra principal payments?
Call 1-800-449-8767 to request budget drafting (bi-weekly). To begin, the loan must be paid one month ahead. You can also add any amount to principal with a regular payment online.
What if I'm not sure I'm ready?
That's okay. You can talk to a loan officer without committing to anything, and many people start months or even years before they buy.
Should I choose a fixed rate or an ARM?
A fixed rate stays the same for the life of the loan. An ARM starts with a lower fixed period (often 5, 7, or 10 years) and then adjusts. ARMs can make sense if you expect to sell or refinance before the fixed period ends.
Can I set up automatic payments?
Yes. In your online account, choose Payments, then AutoPay, and link a checking or savings account. Drafts pull on the date you choose.
Are Non-QM rates higher?
Usually somewhat higher than a comparable conventional loan, reflecting the flexibility in documentation. Many borrowers use Non-QM to buy now and refinance into conventional once their income history fits standard guidelines.
Do I still need a home inspection if the home looked great?
Yes. Your tour helps you spot potential concerns, but a licensed home inspector will give you a detailed, professional evaluation.
I've been 1099 for less than two years. Can I still qualify?
Possibly. Some Non-QM programs accept 12 months of 1099 or bank-statement income, especially with a prior history in the same line of work. We’ll look at the whole file.
